Montalcino

Montalcino is about forty kilometers south of the city of Siena, in a hilly area of unspoilt landscape. An agricultural landscape of great history and great beauty that, since 2004, is registered by UNESCO in the World Heritage Site. The Montalcino territory is made up of a single large hill, mostly covered with woods. Cultivations alternate vineyards, olive groves and arable land with a large number of stone buildings that testify to the centenarian cultivation of these lands. Typical production area of Brunello di Montalcino and rich in historic cellars and important wine shops.
