San Gimignano

Medieval village 18 km from Montaione rich in tradition and history immersed in the hills of Chianti and Vernaccia. From wherever you arrive, San Gimignano stands on the hill, 334 meters high, with its many towers. Even today it counts thirteen. It is said that in the 14th century there were seventy-two, at least one for each affluent family, who could thus, through the construction of a tower, show their economic power (many are still visible in the body of buildings though "scammed"). Rich in typical shops and good restaurants offers tourists culture, history and good gastronomy in a unique setting.
